The number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Wales quadrupled when the Walnut Tree (Llanddewi Skirrid, Abergavenny, Momouthshire), Tyddyn Llan (Llandrillo, Denbighshire), and Ynyshir Hall (Machynlleth, Powis) joined The Crown at Whitebrook (Monmouthshire) where the staff is thrilled about retaining its coveted star for the fourth year in a row and with the news about the other three.

World champions Wales and England have welcomed Friday's decision to include rugby sevens in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.  Joe Lydon, Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), said, "The exposure rugby sevens will get from inclusion in the Olympics will draw many new people into the sport and that has clear benefits for the whole of Welsh rugby."

From US giants Elvis and Sinatra to home-grown legends Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey, they've all benefited from lucrative residencies in some of Las Vegas most exclusive venues.  Now Cardiff-based male voice choir Only Men Aloud! look set to follow in those high-rolling footsteps as they plan to become the first choir ever to headline Sin City -- in time for St. David's Day next year.

Keeping up with the Welsh Performing Arts

• Welsh actor Christian Bale stars alongside Johnny Depp in new movie Public Enemies, directed by Michael Mann. Bale plays special agent Melvin Purvis in this depression-era action-thriller showing in theatres now.
• Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Helena Bonham Carter are starting off the summer on set in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The trio is currently filming scenes for the final HP book-turned-film, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, out in theatres in November 2010.
